Each piece of Moda di Magno jewelry is designed and handmade by Lori Magno in her studio just north of Boston, Massachusetts. All of the silver pieces are created with Precious Metal Clay (also called Fine Silver.) PMC is an environmentally friendly product. Metal clays are produced by Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and Aida Industries in Japan. These companies reclaim silver and gold from many sources including industrial production processes, film stock and negative processing.
While the current collections are primarily made from silver, metal clay also comes in gold, copper and bronze forms. Through the efforts of many talented artists new methods are being developed that combine different clays for dazzling effects.
We turn recycled bits and pieces of our own silver (and mistakes) into an ever-expanding collection of rings and pendants in the Restated collections.
